The Philadelphia Toboggan Company built the carousel, in 1922.  It features 44 hand-carved horses.  It was rebuilt in 1990 inside the Hippodrome.  A calliope provides musical accompaniment.

After leaving Santa Monica, I continued the journey on CA Highway One.  My travels would take me back through some towns I have been through many times before but each time is different.  Quick stops along the way in Santa Barbara, retracing some travels with Vanmal and others.

A pull over in Pismo Beach to enjoy the COLD Pacific Ocean!

When by my strawberry farm, of which I buy locally at my Kroger.  Nuttin’ beats fresh from the vine.

Then onward to San Luis Obispo…

It is noted for its unique decor, pink dining room, and themed rooms.  As in the past I have attempted to book a room here however they were full once again.
