Convert to detachable tour pack on a 2015 Harley Davidson road glide ultra cvo
mbelt:
I have a 2015 Road Glide Ultra CVO. I guess its a 2 stage Boom Audio because it has 2 Amplifiers. There is one Amplifier in the front fairing and a 2nd Amplifier Mounted underneath theTour pack. I am wanting to convert my tour pack to a detachable tour pack. Does anyone know if I can relocate my 2nd Amplifier in the saddle bag? I heard the CVO with boom audio and 2 amps has special wiring that is different than a regular Road Glide. I hope someone here has already done this and can shre some knowledge. Thanks in advance.

Harley usually has a kit for everything. I had the kit for the detachable tour kit on the same bike. No doubt you can move the amp. Search here for guys who have and see if there is a wiring kit from HD, If not, you or a stereo shop should be able to rewire.

I see this is your first post, welcome, Amp can definitely be moved, I'm sure someone has shared info on here before. A search should find it. Are you happy with the sound system? Many people are not satisfied. A stereo upgrade would also solve the problem.
Is the bike new to you? Have the lifters been charged out yet? If not, I'd chan them tomorrow.
bigchuck:
I'd be careful about cutting/ splicing factory wiring, I prefer plug in harnesses.

Thanks for that tip.
