Topic: Finally my FXR4 is at home with all the mods......... (Read 4766 times)

After being a month in the shop I picked the FXR4 up last Saturday. The guy who made all the modifications were recomended by our mutual friend Harry (unbalanced) and I was happy with his work!!

The engine was upgraded installing SE cilynder heads, SE-4 cams, SE breather kit, SE push rods, SE thunderslide jet kit, programmable igntion module from "Daytona Twin Tech". I haven't put the bike on the Dyno yet but it has a lot of power. The guy estimate that will be between 75 & 80 HP.

I changed the bars. Now is very confortable to ride. I couldn't make with drag bars.

I changed the front wheel. I am not friend of spoke wheels.

I put some chrome screws on the dash, bar clamp, housing, frond & rear brake rotors.

Stainless steel wire/cables were installed for the clutch, idlle & throttle and front brake.

Now the license plate reads CVO FXR4.

What front wheel did you use? Which part number wheel? Is it the same as the FXR3 front wheel? I like it very much...

Did you have to buy any additional kits to fit it, Mr. Jorge? Your pictures have convinced me to get that rim.

And to all FXR2,3,4 riders, a technical question. The nut on my front wheel axle is flush with the end axle threads, can't see any axle threads. I have a FXR4 with the stock laced rim. Can you riders see any of the axle threads past the nut?
I have taken the chrome axle covers off. Glad I checked it, something else to ponder.

PS, I have tried tightening/torquing the nut, it's tight. Put a tick mark on the nut and it did not move ( or rotate ccw ) during my first ( it's new to me ) ride.

Mi amigo Art....the wheel came without bearings. I have understood that was the only thing that he had tu put it in....
