David,

You should know by now that patience is in very short supply around here.

I called my dealer and said no such part number.  It's not nice to tease.  :)

Not sure why any other dealers are telling you the part doesn't exist... I just ordered it. It should be announced to all dealers via a flyer  very shortly. 2" spun aluminum or silver oil tem gauge. 139.95

Just got off the phone with my local parts counter.  The number was good.  He said it's not showing up on back order.  I've got one on the way.

Probably not as easy as the McEwan if it is like the Black one.

Don't you even want to know what you ordered?????

Parts man read off a description from the parts system that read, "spun aluminum oil temperature gauge to match spun aluminum......."  Since it's not yet pictured on Harley's website that's as much information as we're going to get short of having the part in hand.  If it's new, just released, not even publicly posted yet it'll likely have a small shelf quantity to start with.  That seems to too often be the case.  The shop will order it for me and, if it doesn't look right, I don't have to take it.  So I know enough to know I wanted to order and know I won't know anymore until I get it in hand.  I'm at no cost risk.  So the little bugger is on the way.

If the MOCO sold spun aluminum or chrome air for your tires all you yahoos would pre buy it.I just ordered a titanium infused, black oxide lined, powder coated billet battery hold down from HD.The part number is 76543-87 for $12,876.89. they told me they were going to be very limited and to pre buy before they are sold out.So if you want one send me a paypal payment for $12,875.00(I'll cover the $1.89) as soon as you can the numbers of the hold down are limited. My paypal address is
PTBarnum@suckereveryminute.net.  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]
