Speedo glare on windshield
« on: April 25, 2012, 07:55:14 PM »

It's been a while since I posted here, I am hoping I can get some good advice as I did before.
I upgraded my 2011 CVO with a 2012 windshield.
Now that the weather is better, I have been out after dark. At the top of the windshield, I have the red reflection off the speedo. I got a trim ring today, but it does not fit.
Has anyone else encountered this problem and installed a trim ring to correct it. If so, where did you get it and can you supply me with the part number?

Thanks.

Sorry don't have the part number, but I picked it up at the local HD shop.

Hi Guys...Thank you both for responding.
Do you two both have the glare shield installed on your bikes?
Does it work to keep the reflection off the windshield at night?
Also, how does it install, and does it seem pretty secure?

Thanks again,
Steve

I do not have one - yet. Mine has been shipped and I will receive this Thursday.

They are held on by two sided 3m tape, I would think it would be pretty secure.

The shield cuts way down on the glare but doesn't remove it completely.  It is held on by doublestick tape as previously mentioned and is very secure.  I have ridden my bike cross-country and that shield was the least of my worries.  A+ purchase
