Can anything give me instructions on how to remove the chrome cowling behind the headlight?  Do I have to remove the triple clamps to remove the cowling?

Looking at the exploded parts drawing Joe I think you can just pull that chrome panel loose.  Click on the attached drawing to make it full size, then look at the pins and bushings I identified with red arrows.  It looks like that panel just snaps on those two pins.
