Title: new member-new serk!
Post by: drl07se on November 25, 2006, 07:58:34 PM
Just found out about this site from a friend who also has a SE. Looks like a great source for info about SE's. I purchased a blue SERK about six weeks ago. Looks like a lot of you guys are not happy about the soft bags on the 07 SERK's. I got to say I love everything about the bike.

And so far as your bike is concerned that is the only opinion that matters even a little bit.  Congrats on having a bike you enjoy so much  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] .

Does the same go for me too?  Or do I have to say stuff?

Hmmmmmm... I suppose you could just lurk but it would be soooo uncharacteristic!  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]   Besides, I want to read the end of the story about your motor work escapades... you seem to be having such a fun time with it.  ;D :o ;)

drl,

Welcome to the site, and hold on tight (to your checkbook) this is going to be an expensive ride. ;)

I will echo your feelings, I just got a red SERK, and it is awsome.  The great things about these bike is the longer you have them the more you love'em.

Hi there. I've recently been told about this site too by a friend in Newcastle upon Tyne England. We are both members of the Geordie Chapter of HOG.

I will be taking delivery of my new Candy Cobalt SERK on the 1st March next year. I have been riding a Heritage Softail Classic for the last six years and will be sad to see her go ( She's done me proud). Really looking forward to the new bike though and am planning an Iron Butt SS2000 at the beginning of June closely followed by the European HOG Rally in Fuengirola Spain.

Some interesting stuff on here - I hope some of the little gremlins I have been reading about will be sorted out before I get my bike.

I was told by one of the Techies this year in Faak am See (European Bike Week) Austria that there was an easy mod to increase the torque and HP on the new SE's - would this be be the SERT only or do I need to think about some other stuff too ?

Welcome to the site Nige.

You'll find a wealth of information here as well as a lot of help spending your hard earned pounds.

The SERT or a Power Commander would be a step and most likely what they referred to as an easy way.

Geez...I can't keep up with all the new people here!!!  Welcome to the best damn site for anyone who enjoys riding on two wheels instead of four...the CVO part is just icing on the cake.  There is a lot that can be learned here, and a lot to be shared.  You may not know it yet, but the guys/gals here are the BEST.  Welcome to the family!!

Welcome guys and be careful.  This site is addictive (but in a very good way).  I've met lots of nice folks and learned a tremendous amount and been able to share some of my experiences and knowledge with others that hopefully has been of value to them.  That's what it all about isn't it.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Welcome to the site.  This is the place for great technical information, lots of humor and thousands of ways to part with your money.  Sort of funny, in my pre-CVO days I would look and one and say to myself, now if I had one of those I would be content, I mean what else could you do to it?  Finding this site has opened my eyes.

Hey drl,
Welcome to the site.  The SERK was my second choice [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif].  Hope you enjoy the new bike.  The soft bags are great for jamming a ton of stuff into [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif].

As a new member to the site, let me welcome you with a promotional plug:  Check out this link for information on joining us at our annual CVO get together.  This year it is being held in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada.  Hope you can join us [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
