For true duals, Rinehart's or Freedom Cycles (both are made by Bub's)
For 2-1's , D&D's or the new Rinehart 2-1. The thunderheader is good as well but the quality is not near as good as the others.

Depending on what "more" you want.  More torque that comes on earlier, then Vance and Hines true duals.  More torque that comes on later, Rineharts.  A little more horsepower, up around 6000 rpms, the Rineharts.  Obviously, if you want the best of both, a two-into-one setup is best, but if you like the looks a little more then the true duals.  Either Rineharts, Vance and Hines, D&D's, they're all good.  As far as mufflers, go with what you like as far as sounds and looks....

This subject always starts a controversy! It depends on what kind of performance you want, top end all out hp, or off idle to mid range torque, and last style, duals, or 2 into 1?

Like RedDevil said above:
First thing you need to do is look at your riding style. Are you an average cruiser, maybe two up most of the time, or are you a 100+ mph screamer out on the highway most of the time. Top hp numbers don't always make the best ride for a lot of people. Your riding style will determine the best performer for you, not just numbers.

Probably the best all around would be the 2 into 1 style of exhaust.

Below are two sites that might help, the first is a page with dyno charts on different exhaust, the second has some data on different exhaust.

Whenever this question is asked, its the same result as asking Ford, Chevy or Dodge. The only answer comes from you, which one makes you happy. I can tell you the process I went through before selecting pipes for my '07.

Based on information here, I wanted the Freedoms, the new Freedoms, until I saw how butt ugly they are. The previous version will not fit an 07, so it was the new ugly ones, or something else.

I previously used V&H slipons on V&H true duals, and loved them. Gorgeous sound and good torque. This time I went with Rinehart true duals. I like those too.

I have not seen a dyno comparing the V&H ovals and Rineharts on a 110 yet. I have seen a chart for the Rineharts, and I was convinced, that I could live with the amount of tq they put out. The following dyno chart shows Rinehart vs D&D Fatcat on a 2007 CVO 110. Beware making your choice based on 88 or 95 setups. the new motor has a different cam with different characteristics than HD used before, so comparisons with earlier years is apples to oranges.

If you are looking for kick butt performance, then based on the following chart, I would say get the Fatcat and get the falsie for the left side if you don't like the lopsided look. The Fatcats are also cheaper than the Rineharts.

In the end, the only person who has to like the pipes is you.

Have fun,

If you go for the 2-1 do not go with the Rinehart.  I wanted them for my 07 SE Ultra.  I contacted Bub and they said their 2-1 was too restrictive for the 110, but great for the 96.  Depends on the parameters of what the goal is.  Max performance does not equate to looks.  Bassani has a decent looking 2-1 but do not know if they comply with the 110.  I ended going with the V&H bigshot duals

RADAVI,

I called RH as well on the 2-1 because I have a set I am waiting to install on my 07 SERK.  At first the tech dept told me that they were too restrictive and then they called me back and told me that they had discussed it and that was not really the case.  Said they would work fine.  Just makes me wonder at this point.

I have the Freedom true duals. LOVE THEM! Great sound, not too loud, not to quiet, bark like hell when you jump on it. Great torque, I like the looks of two pipes out the back. really nice fit and finish, still need to tap the threads to turn around thier ugly end caps. Someone on this site offered to do it for me, I forgot who?

Did you have any brake pedal clearance problems with the Freedom pipe or shield?

I have the Rinehart 2-1 and it is indeed too restrictive.  The Cap is a nice shad of dark read and some sections of the pipe and heat shields are turning nasty yellow.  Time to get the Fat Cat!

None whatsoever, Freedom took care of that. My tuner didnt like the SERT and had never seen the Freedoms, when he got done he was very impressed, he liked them better than Rineharts, saying they sounded better. They have excellent customer service, or at least I did, and I needed a couple extra springs that must have popped off somewhere, he sent them to me no charge, almost a year after the sale. I highly recommend them.

Tiger71,

Generally when the cap turns red like that and you see the yellowing you have a too lean condition.   I have seen 2 bikes locally here on the dyno with the Rinehart 2 into that turned 110 / 95 and the second one was 115 / 97 and neither has the condition that yours have.   We ride almost every weekend with the first one mentioned.   I would consult your tuner about the situation its not happening because the pipe being too restrictive.   The RH locally has shown thus far the best numbers from a dyno in regards to the 07' bikes with the 110 engine that have been seen by a stock bike with Sert / Powercommander and open air filter.

Is there a web site for Freedom Duals?

Beware, the only pipes Freedom makes for an 07 are shown below. The pipes that fit the '06 WILL NOT fit an '07. Unless you like ugly pipes this may be a problem.

I don't know if you can use '07 header pipes with the '06 mufflers. If so, that would be a better solution than the pipes shown below.

Unbalanced,
I have been running the TMax and AutoTune on my bike for the past 4000 miles and A/F is 13.5.
The cap turned the shade of red on my 715 mile ride to Key West this past weekend.
How many miles do those 07 bikes you mentioned have and what means are they tuning with?
Thanks for the info.

Tiger,

My bike has almost 11k on it and the caps were red from the start as the bike was too lean 14.0 to 1 after the dyno tune I am currently awaiting new caps, but BuB is sending me new ones to replace them.  My bike isnt a fair test on that, but it will be in a week or 2 after I get back from Vegas.

Rhino has them on his bike with Thundermax and you will have to ask him how many miles, but I saw them this past week and they perfect from what I could tell.

The other pair I have arent on the bike yet as I am waiting to put them on after next week when I do the top end build on the pumpkin the heads are back and its ready to be torn into.

If i may interrupt, if your are running 13.5 with an autotune, are you running closed loop? If so, then 13.5 is not your fixed target, and for sure that is way to lean in many circumstances.  If you are using a zippers map, and running in closed loop, then the AFR's will fluctuate depending on the Throtle Positiion and RPM.

I found the base map from Zippers a tad lean in certain areas. I tweaked them to my satisfaction.  Just as a reminder about the AUTOTUNER!!!!!! Read; The system is perfected, but, it will autotune to what YOU want it to do.  That does not mean you cannot get by with the base map, but I have found that certain RPM ranges did need to be changed.   If you had discoloration, it is a clear sign of lean.  If you are familiar with changing AFR's fine, then do it. The Autotuner will do exactly what YOU tell it to do.

I liked the D&D's enough on my '06 CUSE that I bought them for the '07 SERK.  I should have them installed and a performance chart within a week or so and will plan on posting results.
