Thunder Max Auto Tune (TMAT)
« on: March 30, 2007, 09:54:16 AM »

I m leaning toward installing a TMAT package on my 07 SE Dyna.
I like the fact the it's more versatile then the sert and has the ability to "auto tune" your ride as you drive. I also like that it's gui is intuitive and they will set you up with a base curve designed for your specific ride and I get to learn alot about tuning in the process.
I like the looks of the Vance & Hines Big Radius but Zipper tech says the design on these pipes might cause some backfire in deceleration. Can anyone with Big Radius confirm this? Another option was to go with slip-ons. I like this idea cause I can keep the stock header pipe which will accept the new co sensor perfectly.
Can anyone here recommend slip-on that will sound good and compliment the looks of my Dyna.
Tks,
Manny

Try S&S. They make slip-ons for cruisers and touring bikes. Good performance and sound! The sensor you refer to is to measure O2 not CO. I love S&S chit, but looks aren't first for me. The slip-ons for the Dyna look pretty nice though too. Check it out! Go to Page 12 of the T Series Catalog in this link.

Thanks for the tip Hoist. I found a dealer near my house. I will pay them a visit this week.
BTW, The slip-ons look great.

:2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: If you can afford the Thundermax with Autotune you will not be dissapointed. The thing I love about the system is that any modifications I do to my bike don't require a re-tune or dyno. It simply compensates for the difference (different exhaust, cams, headers, etc) and allows the bike to run as close to perfect as possible. For example, I just ordered the Rinehart performance baffles for my bike and the only thing I will need to do is install them. NICE  :2vrolijk_21:

The TMAX is a smart move. No more tuners, or dynos.  Zippers makes a damn fine map, everything is easy for a couple hour install.  5 minutes for electrics, and 1 hor for sensor and wireing.  Results are in Zippers wins.
