Rhinehart and Thundermax
« on: April 30, 2007, 02:56:29 PM »

I got my Thundermax tuner today. The Rineharts I got from the dealer yesterday. Apparently I was lucky to get them. The dealer said they're on backorder, but they ordered this set for someone who ended up not wanting them. Now they're mine!!

My question: Can I put this stuff on the bike if I only have about 400 miles on it? The Thundermax tunes itself to the bike, right? So it should be ok. What do you guys think? The dealer told me no at first. Then I reminded them the Thundermax autotunes. Then they said it will probably be ok as long as I maintain proper break in. I want to be sure, so I'm open to opinions and experience.

I can't say if it is OK or not.

However

If it were mine it would be on there already. :2vrolijk_21: :orange:

If it were mine, it would be on there with the proper base map to get started.  It cannot possibly be any leaner than it came from the factory, so break in should actually be easier on the motor.

Let us know how she runs/sounds!!

Put it on, ride and enjoy. As TC says start with the right base map and your good to go.

GET all that new gear on your bike now so it can breath IN and OUT!!!
You won't be disappointed!!
Like the other guys said, get the right base map and finish the 500 mile
break in and then let it RIP!!!
