I found out this is his first Harley and he just doesn't understand that there is nobody that will have any use for his pipes other than someone with a Screamin Eagle.  In a few years, when he sees those pipes still sitting in the corner of his garage, he'll remember that he once had a chance to sell them.  I figure that in the Pittsburgh area, there can't be more than a few dozen 2009 SE touring models running around, and out of those maybe 4 or 5 that even know or are concerned about the CAT in the pipes.  Of those, how many are going to put on true duals or 2 into 1?  I guess the way I'm looking at it, who else besides me is going to happen upon this guy and need his pipes?  Just me.  He blew it.

I am reminded that years ago I dumped lots of parts I thought no one would ever want/need again!
I wish now I still have my old Superglide "boat-tail" seat from 1971!! Or, the aftermarket tube-type radio that came with my '65 FLH. Or the sheet metal on my '49 EL!!
Yep, I'm still a pack-rat after all these years.
It's raining here this morning, I can't go riding, and I'm reminiscing!! LOL

I don't know where you are finding lots of head pipes for the 09's on ebay.  There are lots of AM setups, but zero stock pipes for a touring model.  The timing factor is the only reason for me not to send my exhaust to Steve at Fullsac and have him gut my pipes.

Just bought one for $25.00 new in the box. Passed on another one for $15.00 Greg

Are the catalytic convertors only on the california CVO's? My dealer in Cleveland swears there are no catalytic converters in the head-pipes for non-california bikes. Is this true?? Thanks

Like most dealers yours is misinformed, all 09 110 CVO  Baggers leave the factory with Cats in the header.

I just spoke with Brian (Hill Country Customs) over the phone and closed the deal. I have headers coming my way. Thanks very much for the contact - it is greatly appreciated. 

Next step is to "Jet Coat" the headers.

I just picked up a set of 09 headers today from a dealer.  I just asked a parts guy if they had a set a couple of weeks ago.  He said that they should have a set soon and he would give me a call.  He called Saturday and I picked them up today.  I am going to give him something on the side, but not anywhere near what it would cost on Ebay.

They usually throw them away at the dealer.  I know most of us don't think much of many of the dealers, but the people who work there can be helpful if you just ask.
