We just bought a new all in one for the office with Windows 8.
Too many compatability issues to mention. Going to erase 8 and re load it to windows 7.

Steve

Steve - good move. You'll be much happier on Win 7.  :2vrolijk_21:

Win 7 is the most stable, efficient OS they've ever put out. I've been using it since the first public beta years ago, and I've never had any issues with it nor with any software I've installed on it... and being in IT, I use LOTS of different software products from many different vendors. They all run fine on Win 7!

I have W8 on my one net book.  I'm pretty sure I have TTS loaded on it and have flashed my hd04 bike with it.  I will check in the morning and let you know.
my windows 8 netbook has TTS installed,  but I couldn't verify that I have flashed an Ecm without it yet.

For anyone with a Mac just use bootcamp and partition 25 gigs for windows 7 clean install. Once done installing and thereafter, upon startup hold option key and you can choose whether you want Mac or Windows OS. That's what I had to do to get PV software. Seems a lot of tuning companies don't play with Mac. This is a lot cheaper and more convenient than getting another computer just to run a single program.

Before I knew I could add Windows to my Mac I thought about getting a tablet to do the same, but that was back when I had a PCIII and tablets were still very pricey. It's good to know that it can be done though through a tablet. Thanks

TTS worked with both Windows 7 and Windows 8 work under Fusion, haven't used boot camp, but Fusion 5.0 is working just fine.    I too deleted win8, may work alright on a tablet and touchscreen but imo not very effective with a mouse.

I have used Win 8 on a tablet for TTS since BETA.  I HATE win8, but it IS whats needed on a tablet.  The two tuning PCs and the main laptop all run 7.  Did I say I HATE 8?  I DO...  but it will run TTS with NP.

I hate Windows 8 as well (at least on a non touch keyboard computer).  I have two personal net books, one with 7 and one with 8.  I use the older one with 7, despite it having a less powerful cpu.  The 8 just seems like something that Windows wanted to try to make work on tablets and in a way that was comparable to the Apple products.

Thats how I view it, too Jason.  I held onto XP until Win8 came out and moved to 7 instead.  98 was OK, ME sucked, xp was great, Vista sucked, now its 7 that works fine, 8 sucks.

LOL! But sadly, that's quite true.

Of course, the MoCo seems to only get things right about 50% of the time, too...

I could not get either Mastertune versions to recognize my black vci with my Windows 8 computer when I tried last weekend.  My Windows 7 works fine, but the 8 was not working out.  I tried to get every com port to work, and none seemed to even let my try to select them.

anyone have luck with the W8 and older HD04 VCI's?  any tips that you can share?

Mayor I have the old black dongle and have flashed the ecm with the win8 tablet many times but not recently, so before I say again that it is working for me I had better check it is not some recent windows update that has stuffed things up.
