I have Vance and Hines on my bikes and the sound is incredible. Also super high quality chrome finish. You won't go wrong with V&H.

best bet is thunderheader X series if you want bad ass sound and performance, throw in GMR 577 cams (or something else I got this) and you better hold tight for that handlebar ...

Get rid of that exhaust choking headpipe (if you ever saw the guts of the factory pipe you would wonder how the engine breathes at all), do it right the first time and buy a full system .... the choices are endless. I'll stand behind these other guys with V&H, excellent stuff. This is my first 2-1 on a Harley and I will never go back to duals again, wicked sound and runs great along with their tuner.

Also listen to that clip (in this same section) posted by Dragos of a 2-1 ... mine sounds very similar to that. I happen to like that megaphone look of the Pro Pipe a little better or I probably would have went with Drago 2-1. Take your time and watch a ton of vids and listen in person before you take the plunge so you only have to do it once.

Not the popular answer, but I am trying the Freedom Performance Racing True Duals...always liked the traditional look of the true duals and I like the sound of the Freedom performance setup. I guess we'll see how they are when I get them on the bike.

Ran the same set up on my 12, and my wife's last bike.

It's hard to beat Steve George (Fullsac) or Frank Drago (Drago's Bike Works).  Everybody else is just a company.

I just installed the Fullsac DX pipe and 2" baffles with TTS tuner.  Sounds great!  Have not had a chance to ride more than a couple blocks as it is only 35 degrees here in Iowa but it will be in the 50s by the weekend so I'll report back when I can get it out on the highway and let it run out a little more.  The only issue I had was I had to reroute my O2 sensor wiring just a little as they were just a hair too short because the O2 sensor locations are just a little farther forward on the pipe than stock.

I think you'll like either one, but before you get a FatCat check out Dragos Bike Works Dragula. Less $ than the Fat Cat, just as well made, looks as good, at least as much performance, and sounds nicer.

After doing some reading on here, I'm kinda going away from the CFRs. After reading about tuning issues and such.  I think I'll call a few builder/tuners tomorrow and get their opinions.
Thanks for the ideas. I'll look at Dragos

Don't be afraid to call. Frank is friendly and will talk to you about pipes. Even though you won't see it on the web site they also have ghost pipes for the left side. Some of the Rush exhausts are similar because Frank also engineers for them, but Dragos gets a better warranty and usually a little less $.

I'm running the D&D on my 2013 SERG and I really like it. My dilemma is whether or not to drop the $500 on the ghost pipe. I can think of a lot of other uses for that $$ but it does make the back end look "unbalanced" to me. Just curious, how many out there run ghost pipes on 2 into 1 setups?

I run the new Dragula 2 from Dragos, with the ghost. If I had the regular straight bottom bags I would skip it and dress the left side with chrome belt guard and maybe a nicer pulley, but with the extended bags you really need the ghost imho.

Extended bags, gotta have a ghost pipe. This is the Drago's with ghost pipe.  If my memory is right, the ghost was less than 400.

I have to agree. Ordered it yesterday from D&D, $420 (chrome) incl. shipping. I still have the OEM exhaust and was thinking about the Fullsac on those but in the end it would cost more and require a new tune, etc. I really do like the sound of the D&D and so far no bluing or discoloration (must be tuned pretty good) so the ghost pipe is the path of least resistance. I just wish all these paths had fewer (and less $$) toll gates!

I had a set of Rinehart Tru Duals on my 13 RG and they were tremendous. When I moved up to a 14 Limited I had the dealer install a pair of RC Components slip ons. The more I rode the better the sound got, even with being choked by the stock front pipe. So when I traded the 14 on a 15 FLHTKSE I kept the slip ons and added the RC Components Tru Dual head pipe. It sounds sweet. Haven't been able to ride it yet but it sure sounds good in the garage.  ;D
