Title: 2013 CVO Road Glide
Post by: BigSexy4664 on September 27, 2016, 09:10:31 PM
Just bought my 1st ever CVO. I've owned a Harley since I was 16 years old & have NEVER heard a Haley should like this one? It's seems excessively noisy, "chatter," & is a real bitch to crank. Anyone else have same issues?? Local HD said its normal of course. Due to larger pistons, cams & valves. No warranty. Just wondering if I got fed a line of bull.

The valve train noise of the 110"  twin cam is excessive. Harley has tried to address that with the Milwaukee 8 motor.  Perhaps you could tell us more about your motor. Is it stock? If not, what has been done?

Like Greg asked,

Any engine mods, or stock?

I also have a 13 CVO Road Glide too and my valve train has always been loud.  Sometimes I can hear it over my stereo; especially on very hot days or if I'm sitting in traffic.  The engine also throws a lot of heat.

No issues on mine! Valve train noise is no different than any other 110 I've rode. Heat is ok as well, my bike is mechanically stock with just slipons. 32k miles so far.
