Title: 2016 CVO Road Glide Ultra Ignition removal Question
Post by: Marine69 on August 26, 2018, 07:53:56 PM
Bought a 2016 CVO Road Glide Ultra and need to tighten 16” handle bars, trying to find out how you remove the ignition since it’s diferent then my 2012 Street Glide. Looks like it might take a special tool to get it off, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It doesn't come out. However, that damn plastic chrome cover needs to come off and they can break easy.

Sent from my boring Droid phone.

So you don’t need to take it off to tighten the handle bars?

No you don't. There is a small tab at the bottom rear of the small chrome cover. A gentle push with a small screwdriver or paperclip and the rear lifts up slightly, two tabs at top front to disengage by pushing the entire cover a little forward and down.

As already added, it’s a fragile little piece and a new one is about 35.00 I’m told
