Title: Rear Brake Pad Replacement? 05 FB CVO
Post by: rhallman on June 21, 2008, 08:00:52 PM
I have a 05 CVO Fatboy and am changing the brake pads to Lyndall Gold Pads.  Front replacement wasnt a problem, but Im wondering how do you replace the rear pads?  Do I need to remove the tire or Caliper?  Seems like the pads hit the split rotor before I get them out far enough.

Thanks...Rich

place a jack under the bike and slide rear axle out far enough to rotate caliper arm up, this will give you enough clearance to replace the pads.

Also the Lyndal gold pads are a bit harsh on the rotors, you may want to consider the Lyndall Z-plus pad instead
