Yeah, 'er 'uh, Jock,
I had the Chrome Headbolt Bridge installed on Ol' Maudie, until I changed plugs one day.  Way too much hassle for Hub.  Can't use 'em with compression releases, either.  Look good, but a real pain to put on and take off!  Later--HUBBARD

Yeah, I did the silver

Went on easy - looks good - but is not an exact colour match.

8/10 I'd say - but I'm leaving it on there...

Cheers

Dave

I also did the silver. IMHO it blends in well w/rest of the motor. Just goes to show I can add something that isn't chrome.

Bret,
Make sure you point out to SEULTRA that we can buy things that aren't chrome even when we have chrome options to buy. :D

I have the chrome cover on the Heritage, looks good. I wanted to put the same one on my seeg when I bought it, but was told it would create too much heat with the lowers on. I went with the finned one instead. Don't use the allen wrench that comes with it to install, real slow going. Instead use appropriate sized allen socket w/ 1/4 " drive  much smoother going. I can't have the bridges on anymore due to compression releases. Oh well...more go...less show.

I've spoken to several dealers and no one can give me a real answer as to why the chrome jobs can't be used with fairing lowers (best guess is heat transfer,  but knowing a little about thermodynamics, I don't buy it.....maybe it's a little too little) Anyone have a definitive answer????
Yes,  changing spark plugs is a pain in the butt,  but take a socket (chuck it up)and turn it down a few thou' and you good to go.
What's the poop????

Option 1 and the Dyna fuel line I see.

Everytime I ask my dealer he frowns on the idea and I don't pick it up.

Same here. Only had one little problem. Developed a rattle. Thought something terible was going on inside. Once I figured it out I couldn't get the damn thing off cause the set screw had way too much thread lock on it. Dealer broke two allens trying and finally just removed the whole thing a warrantied it. No probs since and very happy.

I am glad my dealer installed it for me,
I like that look !!!

Thanks. It is really surprising how many people outside the CVO world think my bike is one of those dull red Fire Fighter Edition HD's with the bogus decal set.

Porthole, the braided "Dyna" line is fine.  It's the same lenght, same fittings, same I.D. and same pressure rating.  Some dipstick simply never made the initial fitment description as inclusive as it could be.  And once the garbage was "in" that's all that ever came back "out."  I checked the specs on the line itself before putting mine on a year ago.  It takes five minutes to change and is a nice improvement in appearance.  It also has the fitting on the tank end that will accept the chrome fuel fitting cover (many of the black ones don't) and the line and fitting cover look great together.

Yes, I used these (the black one) on my last Ultra. Great appearance, easy to fit. I will be having them on my CUSE!

Have on FLHRI, FLHRCUI and FLHRSEI.  No problems other than make sure you tighten and threadlock when you put them on...lost the front one on my FLHRSEI...(where the hell is that rattle coming from....oh, it stopped....)  I figure more cooling is better than less cooling...and while you wouldn't think they'd help (not much metal to metal contact) they DO get hot so should be helping...

Jock,
I went with option #3 and because I too was told that #2 would be a heat problem with my lowers on. I shook my head for a bit, but being a new bike and not wanting to give them any excuse if a problem arose I went with #3.
I was on the Kangamangus Trail and started hearing my I thought was my primary knocking, thinking that the bridge covers are the only new item just put on did I reach down with my gloved hand and pushed on each cover which were both loose.
This happens a lot with #3 and can make some unreal noises till you get them tight again.
It wont matter if you use heavy duty Loctite on them either, they'll loosen up.
Mainly where the problem lies is if the head bolt happens to be not in-line straight to the set screw and trying to lock into a angle of the head bolt, it has the tendency to back out. And I had them turned in to the point of snapping or stripping the set screw
Damn thing even popped off one ride and damn if I didnt just put my hand down to check it and it landed right in my glove!
So I got the #2 option now and when the heat comes up I'll be taking my lowers off anyways, But not that I can swallow that horsechit that the heat will be to much, The computer already tells me that at the drop of a hat!
