Umbrella seal kits
« on: February 08, 2016, 02:57:15 PM »

Just putting the pistons, barrels and heads back on.

One thing I forgot to get was the umbrella seals, do these need replacing, what do I buy? the shortened kit or the full kit. When I took the cover off that reveals the wire wool type filter/demister arrangement there was what appeared to be a shellac type of residue, is this normal?

Anything to look for in particular around the umbrella breather seal arrangement?

Just left the dealer here and they only had one in stock. It had a foam type seperator. Said it was a new type.  :nixweiss:

Always good to replace these. These can cause puking oil into the AC, and never seems to get mentioned when people complain of that issue.
