He did a different piston here to get the compression right?

Looks perfect

You can get to 10.8:1 with the pistons that come in the HD drop on 117 kit.  Just a little head milling and thinner head gasket.

I'm picking it up next week!  :apple:
In the spirit of helping out a forum bro, I would be willing to sacrifice my time to help out by picking up the bike for you and riding it to TN by way of California, British Columbia, Maine, and Key West.  No need to wait up for me.

Thanks for the offer but I can't do that to you. If you rode it you'd have to have one.  ;)

OK, now I see how that works, but then I would have to come looking for you!  :rifle: Maybe I better just pick it up myself.

That's some strong numbers for the King, Joe.  I'm assuming you will be needing that riders backrest hardware VERY SOON so you can stay in that saddle..... :2vrolijk_21:

You should fly down and ride it back....all in the name of breaking it in... ;D

Trailered it down to Steve because there were Texas storms in the forecast and I left my trailer with him, so I'm heading down in the morning to get the bike and trailer. I'll have the Memorial Day three day weekend to get it broke in.  :)

I've never had such a tough decision to make but I'll think I can handle it!

We'd have a great time on the road.

To update: When I dropped the bike off, Steve told me he had domed pistons on order. When I picked it up, he told me that he opted to use the HD pistons and mill the heads, as you described. He probably told me why he went this way but I'd been on the road for 13 hours and had another 1 1\2 hours to drive before I stopped for the night so I don't remember what he said. Anyway, I trust his opinion and the bike is a lot of fun to ride!
