what pipes for the pro street breakout?
« on: October 21, 2016, 10:01:51 AM »

New member here.  I have a 2016 Breakout in vivid black w/cobra swept exhaust, FP3, LEDs and few other misc mods.  I have been a huge fan of the cvo pro street w/110 since it was introduced and was thinking about upgrading to that in the next month or so.  For some reason I can't seem find any exhaust that really looks good on that bike.  for me the V&H big radius that comes in the flat black doesn't seem to go with the more flashy color scheme of the pro street (starfire black w/gold leaf outline)  google hasn't come up with any other options.  Seems like all the pics for that bike have the stock exhaust.  I like the look of the stock pipes but I can't deal with the muted washing machine sound.  this is a harley and it should sound like one.   are people modifying the stock pipes?  btw, pics of my 16 BO is below....

D&D Low Cat sounds much better than the V&H pipes.  It also tunes up better.

Thanks para bellum, I'm excited to get them on.  Looks of a 2-2 with the performance of a 2-1.  To the OP, I noticed that satin nickel or even brushed nickel looks pretty close to the new smoke satin chrome so I plan to plate the header pipe covers to try and mimic the stock look.  Black mufflers with satin nickel header pipes.

The guy with the bike pictured stated it out performed his last three pipes (V&H 2:1, V&H 2:2, and F-bomb).  This was over on another Harley forum.  I'll definitely post my dyno sheet once installed in the spring.

Found a video of the Magnaflow legacy gen x on a 2015 103 Breakout.  Sounds pretty mean.  Should sound even better on my 110!

RB Racing LSR pipes are the best your money can buy. Well worth the wait, and the performance can't be beat. But in the end... to each his own.

Do you have a dyno sheet on your set-up?

Took it to Cycle City... the HD dealer here in Hawaii to tune, but no numbers on hand. All I have to say is I'm happy. No baffle, but no loss in power due to the engine size. Plus it looks better than all them other bikes with the same old looks. Check out RB racing site. I'll post #'s when I can
