2009 vs 2013
« on: June 28, 2018, 05:15:00 PM »

Can't seem to find much info on this one.  What are the main differences between the 2009 CVO RG and the 2013 CVO RG?  Thanks

Depending upon your definition, I don't think you will find much in the way of "main differences." The big changes to the touring line came with the 2014 model year. Different suspension, swingarm, can bus system, infotainment upgrade etc.

2009 Model Year:

Last of the Hand Built CVOs
Fake stretched bags
5th gear is a Straight cut gear (some say it makes noise)
Came stock with the "B" Lifters, had the older SE Comp Sprocket
If you want lowers fairs, you need to use the non vented lowers because the MoCo changed the angle of the fairing bracket
Different handle bars
Screamin' Eagle on the fairing
And last but not least the Yellow/Slate are the fastest Road Glides!!!   ;D

Honestly, both great model years!

Perfect...Thanks.  Also I have stuff from a 2015 CVO Street glide: seat, sissy bar, luggage rack, black exhaust heat shields, etc.  My understanding that all will fit the 2009, right? Will the CD player read an MP3 disk? What standard CVO stuff came with the 2009 originally (cover, luggage gold key, etc)?  Thanks again!
