Puzzled have you seen or used anything to protect the bottom outside edge of the stock CVO stretched bags to protect the paint against a drop?

The saddlebag guards work well. I have not seen a full length skid plate offered by anyone for OEM bags. A piece of 1/2" aluminum angle would bend easily to follow the contour of the bag. 1" would work better as it would have more surface area for tape/screws. I'd cut the face down to 1/2" and leave the bottom at 1".

I bought the guards but wish the had a "Comfort Profile" available like they did for the pre-'14 models.
I'm not crazy about the new design but as you said ... they work.

The parts are starting to arrive. Rear Dirty Air aluminum shocks, air compressor, air tank and VU2 air ride control valve.
