Winter project 19
« on: January 07, 2019, 09:56:16 PM »

I am adding the 2010-13 rg fairing brackets and lower vented fairings with speakers on my 09 cvo rg. I changed the fork oil and greased the neck. I am adding a mmats 4110 amp with 4 mmats 6.5s. I bridged my jl m400 amp on my jl c2 6x9s. What mods are you doing to your cvo this winter?

So how hard to you figure it's going to be to swap out the metal inner frame to inner fairing bracket?

I've thought about doing lowers of the new style, but still not sure if that's the way I want to go.

Exactly what is it that interferes with the newer style lowers, the motor guard to fairing brackets?  If so, can one just "trim" the upper fairing to engine guard area for clearance rather than going through the complete bracket swap out?

Just a thought that maybe trimming the lower would be easier than the bracket swap.  I know that I can do some great looking grinding and one would be hard pressed to know the difference when done.

Good luck with your '19 winter project.

The back of the upper fairing hits the lower fairings , the bracket raises the back of the upper fairing 7/8 of an inch. The crash bar brackets are offset in so the lower fairing caps will fit. The bracket was easy to swap its held on with 2 long 3/8 bolts.

You need the top 3 brackets. The grills are the new pt number for the cvo grills.
