Vance & Hines Ovals on SERK
« on: July 19, 2007, 03:01:22 PM »

Besides trying to fix my Leakin' Eagle, I upgraded the exhaust in several phases.  On day one I installed SE Pros 64910-99 which were a bit barky for me.  In May, I installed VH True Dual head pipes that made the SE Pros sound like chit.

I was amazed what a difference the head pipes made in the sound.

I just installed the Ovals 500 miles ago and love the sound, not too loud at all, nice throaty rumble.

Is there any market for the SE Pros?  I'll post here first on for sale.

Besides the sound, how has the performance worked out? Dyno?

I have not dyno'd the SERK.  As recently posted in another thread, the results can vary from Dyno to Dyno and I have no baseline.  This bike more than enough torque for me.  The mileage seemed to improve from 40 to 42, but even that is unreliable due to the amount of variation to how full you make the tank.  With only 3-4 gals, the average can be off by 10-20% easily which is 4-8 MPG.
