Definately something wrong.  The right side is the full width of the front longer than the left side.

The right position for the cover is with the handlebar totally turned at left.

It's definately FUBAR, however, the thing IS meant to be put on with your fork cocked and locked.  -Definately way too short in back and the antenna slots look a little short.  I haven't tried mine on and I don't think I will.  I'll wait til the dealer can exchange it or whatever they want to do.
