First off, hi from Campbell, CA.  In regards to the wobble, a lot of FL bikes have it.  Neither of mine have any serious wobble issues, but I've upgraded the shocks to Bitubos and replaced the stock fork oil with 15W and the bikes handle great.  You might want to stop by Metal Dragon in Hayward and have Jim check it out.  He is HD-Dude on this site.  He won't steer you wrong...

Cool, good to meet you. Yeah, the front is soft as hell. Probably gonna change up the suspension. Lower the back 1" and extend the front 2". Will go with Progressive springs and SE oil. Bike just feels odd, used to chopped bikes, not stock like this, feels like I am riding my Honda back in High skool!!!! hehehehehe. Thanks, mark. :coolblue: RIDE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!

Shouldn't be too difficult to figure out Greg. Just follow Ken's cryptic decoder ring! ;)

Any bike with a fork mounted fairing is going to begin to wobble at high speed.  The fairing is, for lack of a better term, an Airfoil.

Of course there will be many variables, i.e tires (ground contact surface), suspension, crosswinds etc. that will make every bike react different at various speeds.

If you're going over a hundred miles an hour and your tire comes off the road, albeit, ever so slightly, then your bike is essentially an airplane...and as such, the fairing acting as an airfoil, is now in complete control.

Very few bikes in the motorcycle world even have fork mounted fairings!  Most are frame mounted and all of the Superbikes are...

If you have a friend with a Road Glide try this, go out to the interstate and pass a semi with your bike at high speed, then try it on a Road Glide and you’ll be a believer.

With all that said, be very carful going fast with any fork mounted fairing!!!!

I had an old Suzuki back in the 80’s that I took to 125 and the handlebars were almost slapping the stops before I could get it slowed down and recovered.

Used to set-up all my previous FLH's like that.  It just looks good to me.  When I purchased Ol' Maudie, my Dealer informed me I could no longer do that.  Wonder if anybody has a kit to install 2" over fork tubes on '02 and newer Led Sleds?  Please advise.  As far as the wobble, remove your lower fairings, install Hi-Way pegs on the Crash Bar, and put your left foot up on it from 90 on.  No more wobble.  :2vrolijk_21: It's all about areodynamics.  There endeth the lesson.  Later--HUBBARD

There is a much simpler solution to the wobble . If it starts moving around 90 and progressively gets worse to 100 then the simple thing to do is get thru that range as fast as possible and cruise around 110 :2vrolijk_21:
