All,

I see no reason that you could not retrofit the front fork assembly from 09 SEUG and SERG bikes to 04 SERG?

I think the axles and rotors should work only change would be the brake calipers and they would have to be the 08/09s.

Please advise if I can do this.

From my understanding when Spiderman was looking at the chrome calipeers....to adapt the 09 to an 04 you have to change the entire fork assembly and all associated parts with it.

The lower fork legs are the same through 08, (not 100% sure on the 09's but I think they the same) the differences are the wheel bearings and axle at the bearing surface (25 mm on 08+, 1" on 01-07), the rotors are 11.8" on the 08+ and 11.5" up through 07. Calipers are different on the 08+ to match the larger rotor. You can change calipers and rotors together and put the older style on a newer bike or visa-versa.

The forks on the SERG and the SEEG are 1" lower than the SEUC.

If your looking to adapt the '08 Brembo Front Brake System to an earlier model, I've done it.  Here's a write-up for entertainment purposes only.   ;)

Don't know about the '09s as Jim mentioned above, but the '08 calipers and rotors bolted up to my '07 perfectly!  Have heard from several that d/l'd my Conversion; they're doing the same to '03, '04, and '05 models.

Interesting....I was told by a Harley tech that the fork lowers were different in bold locations for the calipers.

I will definitely dig into this

They are the same for 08's, I have used PM brakes from an 07 and changed rotors to the 11.5 and all was perfect. I also have put the 08 Brembos on an 06 along with 11.8 rotors. Like I stated before I have not had an 09 apart to verify but I think they are the same.....
