Looks like the pumkin is using oil. I have about 9000 miles on my SEEG 04 it seemed I was always adding oil, on my last ride over the sierra mountians she started popping out the rear clyinder on decell and shakeing and shimmering at cruising speeds. I found the rear plug oil fowled bad !. Took it in to the local dealer they replaced the plugs and toped off the oil taped fill plug closed. Dealer wants me to put 500 miles on and return for a cunsumption test. They tell me H/D aceptable oil cunsumption is 1q per 1000 miles ?.

I work for a diesel engine company and our engineers are right  down the middle on engine brake in with synthetic oils ? what do you all think..... Thanks BUM      [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

I'd guess that you have a similar issue to several others on this site - valve stem seal leakage causing oil consumption and plug fouling.  H-D came out with a new design valve stem seal on the '06 TC engines.

10k on my pumpkin [smiley=pumpkin.gif]... have never used any oil. And I beat her bad!  If any motor should be using oil, it's mine [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

5,900 miles in my great adventure from Ohio to Sturgis to Colorado and Wyoming and back home. Lots of high speeds and engine braking. Used 1/2 qt. of Syn 3 the whole trip.

Cant say I have that I have any problem there TY much [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] 20K on mine and all my trip I'm using my 103 like the horse that it is [smiley=6.gif] No mercy!!
I have only had to put a little in a any time I've checked it and I'm getting to the point that I dont check it at all [smiley=drink.gif]  So when its in for service is when its getting attention
