ME!!!!!!  When it went public you could buy it for 7.00 a share. But that was a long time ago. It is really funny I know a guy who bought 1000 shares when it first went public many years ago. After all of the splits and the dividends he  reinvested it was worth well over a mill just a few years ago. Foolish guy that he is, last time we talked about the stock I told him the hay day was over and he better think about cashing it in. HE DIDN'T and has lost a lot of money

It ain't going bankrupt unless this recession goes deep into next year.

I actually think - and I'm no expert - but this is getting close to what I think is a good buy, barring any ridiculously bad news thats coming. I dunno?

it will be below $2.00 by summer!

I don't own any HD stock, but I'm thinking of buying some. I hope it doesn't go to $2 before summer. That would be very bad news for the MoCo.

drats!  My plan is foiled!    :huepfenlol2:

It may not be the bottom, but I'll bet a bit of my disposable income on the chance that it is close to the bottom - and in a few years I might be glad to have picked up a bit.    What's that term    er......   dollar cost averaging or something or other.....  ???  hehe...  I'll risk it and accumulate a bit in the next few weeks and months....

Does anyone remember or know the book value of each share of Harley back in 1990 before all the splits? It would seem like there is 32X the number of shares today than in 1990. I am trying to find today's books value.

All I know is that I was trying to 'time the bottom' and shoulda pulled the lanyard when it was at or below $9 bucks a share.  I'm not sure it's gonna 're-visit' that level.  Who knows when people will regroup to levels to resume buying these expensive vehicles.  :nixweiss:  spyder

I bought 1000 shares at 9.25 and 1000 shares at 8.22 for an average price per share of 8.76.  As of yesterday's close at 14.16, I finally got the MOCO to pay for the cost my rebuilt motor, with a little left over for the chrome fund!!   :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

(but, of course, I plan on hanging onto these shares for awhile, so they can always take it back... ???)

If you can watch the put/call action on yahoo or something, it is a tell as to how the short term action may be.
The vix, volatility index of the market cannot get solid..A traders market, realize and take your profits...
Pay your short term gains and drink good wine

I am out of all comsumer discretionary stocks for now...
All of it...if I can't eat it, wear it or burn it, I don't want it...

Happy trading!

I'm pulling for ya, but you might want to take some chips off the table about now........but, what do I know?  :confused5:  har!  spyder

I'm pretty diversified overall...  I'll let it ride...  If it tests the low again, I'll pick up some more.  HD is not an $8 or $9 dollar stock long term...  I have a standing sell order to protect the downside possiblity...   :2vrolijk_21:
