Tom

I'm getting ready to try these out..http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail.asp?ProductID=HCUS-7252GTM-C&PF=43   Just trying to find a good amp to drive them. Pez at HogTunes will sell their two channel plug n'play 37W amp at $219.00. Just not quite ready to shell out $550 bucks yet...

I put in the Hawg Tunes double shot system a few months ago:
I got the $800 package because the company told me I needed it to hear music clearly at 80mph.
I negotiated the deal down with a local  dealer to $700 (don't pay retail - no one does)
even though this set up is like 75 watts channel for what it does (distortion free sound from 5.5" speakers) its just enough.  FM sounds very distorted, CD and ipod are the only play. I would not recommend the least expensive amp, speaker set..

Tom I see you are up to something?  LOL

I spoke to Mike several months ago and he was advising on these new updated speakers...Sounds like they did it again.

After doing a bit of searching, seems like almost everyone who went the "less expensive route" either regrets the choice, or already pulled it and went with HW. That's the reason I said the hell with it and did it up right the first time around. I've got too many boxes of "money saving" upgrades that just weren't as good as the good stuff. Why take shortcuts when you already own a CVO?

Just orderd the PSC amp and DX speakers for a fairing side upgrade from HD-Dude.
Nice fella, good price, email receipt and shipping number within minutes, cool.

I did not bother to change tp speakers.
Will post when installed.

Since taking the oem pipes off and putting the new D&D fat cat on, the stock stereo went away at 3k highway running...

So I'm curious if you put the HW speakers in yet. I also am running the D&D Fat Cat, and while I like the exhaust sound very much, it's too loud to hear the stock radio.  Do these speakers really work with the D&D?

The older version of those speakers and amp worked on my 06 SG at 90MPH with straight pipes! I can only imagine it getting better. I have a set of the new ones on order for the SESG.

I've got their prior component speakers and their amp in each bike.  Both have FatCat's with the quiet baffle (quiet being a relative term as they're be no means super quiet exhaust).  On either bike on the hiway you can turn it up far enough to hear music that is still clear.  Talk radio is even ok up to about 65-70 mph.
