Blowing fuses after digital gauge installation
« on: October 30, 2009, 12:35:54 PM »

Friend has an 07 Road Glide, he just had his inner fairing painted & installed the digital gauges.  He is now blowing fuses.  Anyone had this issue?  He is going to do the obvious tonight & look to see that everything is connected correctly & no pinched wires.

He's on the correct track. If the fuse blows immediately it most likely a bad gauge or a short in the wiring.

If, after checking that all the wiring is good, unplug all the gauges, turn the ignition switch on and plug in the gauges one by one untill the fuse blows. Since he had his inner off, chances are it could be something else besides the gauges though.

That is how I would go about it.

He found it, pinched wire as expected.
