Permanent heated clothes controler help!
« on: November 06, 2009, 09:57:47 PM »

I am trying to install a permenant heat controller in the dash of my SESG. The controller is a little to large to fit in the switch blank where it need to be. I need to be able to make the switch rod longer, or find a knob that has about a one inch throat extension so I can recess it. Is there anyone here that can give me an idea, or a link to someplace that has these type of item?
Thanks

I don't have a clue as to what you are trying to install. Maybe you could post a picture of the controller. Good luck with it.

If you get a chance would you ask him the parts he had to use and where he bought them? Or if it is complicated you can just put him in touch with me.
Thank you

This is where I put mine. Not real crazy about the way it looks - but it works.

I have the wires running back to the left side cover, above the fuse box.

I keep the wires buried until I need them, then just pop the cover and route them out the front of the cover.
I also have an additional pigtail under the cover for my wife to use with a separate dual controller (standard type).
