Cigarette lighter
« on: November 10, 2009, 02:08:28 AM »

Is there a seperate fuse for the cigarette lighter in the fuse box ?
Would a amplifier (fuse at the plus-wire is 7.5 ampere) work good when connected at the cigarette lighter ?
Or where is best to take permanent plus for the amplifier ?

Best is always the source. IMO

But in this case I believe the reason for the cigarette lighter is to turn the Amp on when the Ignition/Acc is turned on.
So the lighter is the best place for the Amp (on/off)

According to Bazooka's on-line installation instructions for their amps, the amp's red + wire should go to the battery + terminal; the ground to a frame ground.
