thanks for the tip Twolane, i'll check it would be funny if that was it well not really since dealer did a state saftey inspection while they had it........ ( brake light would have been on the check list )
If it is a blown bulb, and they did the safety inspection? Well I would think that would get you a lot of chrome or similar coupons from that dealership!!! Something you can always have in your pocket to barter a deal with...... Heh, you remember when I had my bike inspected and you guys said everything passed, and I rode it back home to find out that CC wasn't working and the reason it wasn't was because my taillight bulb was blown..... Now say again how much discount did you want to give me for that part/service? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

thats something i wouldnt have thought of, i also need to check the TB side of things behind the air cleaner, when it does engage thers no resistance on the grip
???? That's very strange.  Leads me back to the cable adjustments (or maybe the return cable not connected at the TB?).

ok latest update lack of CC may be related to my dragonfly installation. my new harness runs along the left side of the frame and was putting pressure on the CC cable running from the module to the TB. i adjusted this when i got home and went round the block once it engaged on the first try and didnt cut out. will give it a good shake down tomorrow. thats the good news, the bad news is the morons at the dealership pinched the wires in my ACC switch housing which is the passing lamp switch on my bike, this caused a short blowing the fuse for the head light and passing lamps, so i had to tear that apart and wrap the wires.

/me is not to happy with the dealer right now

well, i tried the CC today on the highway and sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldnt.  i'll have to run some tests with a meter and verify the wiring and also double check the path of the CC cable from the module to the TB

Mine quit working too, right after I installed a SE air cleaner.
Need to take it back off and see if it works again.  My last one quit working and it turned out my rear brake was hitting the switch prematurely.

Have you ever noticed who is wrenching in the service depts at most dealers? Kids that do not have clue one on what to do. Theyre under paid and can give a rats ass if your bike is looked over properly. Most dealers have that one go to guy but his plate is always full. Just my .02   Later,Q
