Going to put new tires on it and do the rest of the servicing required to put it in service and enjoy it?  Or will it still be a static diplay?

That's sweet that you found one brand new.  Are you going to do any modifications to it?  I found that my the one I've been riding, which had 7,715 miles on it when we got it, rides like a flying sofa.  We've got compression damping but hardly any rebound.  The 11.5" rear shock bottom out all the time.  Solid running bike, but just the other day the quick detach seat bolt rattled off (but I found that one) and today I lost a head bolt cover.  Bummer, but the joys of riding a motorcycle overshadow the loss of parts.

Here is a picture of my Candy Tangerine FXR4 I just go from a Dealer. It's brand new from the Dealership owner's private collection!!!!!
LOL, I never thought I could put my hands on such a marvelous machine - absolutely awsome!
Hey, I've been after that dealership for almost two years to sell me that bike and finally they caved in.

I've been riding Harleys for 42 years from panheads to shovels, evos and twin cams. Had them all: Sporters,  Softails, FXs, Baggers, and finally in the last 6 years, 3 FXRs (an 92 FXRS, a 2000 Yellow Pearl FXR4 and recently this magnificent Candy Tangerine 2000 FXR4).

I know I may be preaching to the converted here, but the FXR is, by far, the best motorcycle ever built by the Motor Company.

I intend to keep it pure stock and enjoy every minute of it riding it all over the place

Hi Jonny D

Well, I saw that motorcycle in the showroom of a local HD Dealership about two years, by chance while browsing the web.  I contacted them but they weren't sure at that time whether they were going to sell the bike because it belonged to the owner and was part of his private collection. So I left it that way until I saw it advertized for sale in the Canadian Auto-Trader On-line Magazine. Needless to say that I immediately jumped on the phone and contacted them. Made them an offer which was accepted.

It's not my first FXR; I had three of them beginning with a used 92 FXRS that I rode for 3 years. Sold that one to buy a Yellow Pearl FXR4 which was owned by a firefighter who rode it for about a year- Hey that scoot was like new! I sold that one in May of this year. That was my big mistake! Thank God I got my hands on this Tangerine marvel. Planning to keep it stock and ride the hell out of it.

Cheers

Stock is good too.  I'm sure we'd have kept it closer to stock had we had the original exhaust system.  The Samson's look good but are way too loud.

They are definitely sweet bikes.  Had I read this thread before, I would've know you were going to keep it stock.  I've been getting all kinds of compliments on our Screamin' Yellow Pearl one.  Looks great out in the sun too.  Have fun riding your super great find!

Agree. The Screaming Yellow is more brillant and looks greater in the sun than the Candy Tangerine color. Enjoy and take good care!

You bet, fresh liquids and new tires are going on that machine; that will definitely not be a trailor queen! I intend to ride the hell out of it!

Lonestar HD in Winnipeg just sold the owner's 0 mile FXR4. It has been for sale for a couple of years. In 09 he was asking 26k and most recently it had a sticker on it for 19,900. It had been at that price for almost a year.
I now see a 0 mile FXR4 advertised in Ontario for 35K!!!Firm!!  Check kijiji in the Ontario (Ottawa); just listed today.

Is there a connection?  Inquiring minds want to know!    :0)

I bought this FXR4 about 2 months ago it had 775 miles on it and it has 15,000 in options added to it...I have been riding harleys for many years and this is the nicest riding bike I have ever been on...I also have a screamin yellow pearl FXR4...Just sold to my son in law....Delivering it tomorrow....Just spent a week in Florida on the New FXR4...It now has almost 2,000 miles on it. I love it...Never been on a faster bike....Terry
