screaming Eagle V-Rod
« on: November 08, 2011, 06:22:29 PM »

:)  Hi guys, I am after an education on the differences between the 2005, 06 & 07 SE V-Rods. I am not clued up on these at all so any and all information and opinions would be greatly appreciated. If you know of numbers produced, colors, current values, differences betwen the models, any problems to look out for etc, or any other knowledge you can share with me, that would be great. Thanks. :drink:  :2vrolijk_21:

For what little I know, rumor in my area is most of the mechanics at the dealers would have to go back to school again to learn how to work on them as they have few or little probles.  Just what I have heard.  Mine only has 1800 miles and is a 2005, so no problems for me.  Picture of it 6 posts down.

My suggestion is to go over to the 1130cc.com site and do some searches. You'll turn up a TON of information about these bikes.

BTW: The guys there are like here. If you ask a question and you will get lots of answers.

Regards

Jerry

05 and 06 are similar, except for colors. Main difference on the 06 is the wide rear tire, Brembo brakes and blacked out engine (instead of silver)
07 is not the same type of "Screamin Eagle" bike

'05 & '06 were CVO and Screamin Eagle. '07 was ONLY Screamin Eagle VROD. Their engines were numbered. Production limited to 1400 units. The paint is similar to the VROD drag race bike. 1250cc and 5 gallon tank. '04 & '05 didnt have 5-gallon tank.
