Extended Warranty
« on: September 17, 2013, 08:12:27 AM »

Does anyone know if you can purchase an extended warranty from Harley after the fact. I have 2012 CVO Ultra Classic with 2,800 miles and was thinking about purchasing/extending the warranty for 2 more years before the current 2 year warranty runs out.

Yes you can. I would do so before the factory warranty runs out.

Yes you can if you do it before the factory warranty runs out and if you have less than 75K miles (think that is right).  You could extend it for 5 more years - could be a good value in the long run.  The original ESP on mine was bought for 5 years and I plan to extend it when it is up.  For the CVO bikes, I think it is a good thing to have.

Beware if you have den any modifications to your bike.  Depending on what you have done, the warranty may not cover what you think it does.

If  you wait until the warranty is out you have to have the bike inspected before you can get coverage. No big deal on a low mileage bike like yours, except your time.
