07 Screaming Eagle Road King
« on: December 23, 2006, 07:01:13 PM »

Would like to hear from New 07 SE Road King owners to see what changes they have made to there bike since they bought it.  I took the seat off and had the passenger seat wider 1 1/2 inches on each side.  The shop that did it did an excellent job-I still have the raised flame on my seat.  Installed passenger floor boards to match the front and installed hardware for tour pak.  Also intalled V/H slip ons-that sounds good.

Nice bike Trailer4e.  The pic appears to show the stock exhaust mufflers?  Which V&H slipons did you buy, sounding "good"?

Warm Welcome to the site Trailer4e! [smiley=drink.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

You have a sweet looking scooter there! Can't wait to see what mods you add! God Bless!

With all the drooling over your bike I don't think anyone ever got around to answering your question about what mods are being done.  What I've seen discussed most frequently are:
1.  True Duals, Slip-ons or 2 into 1 Exhaust (lots of debate on what's best for performance, sound, etc)
2.  K & N Air Filter
3.  Either a HD Race Tuner or PC III usb EMC module
4.  Dyno Tuning
5.  Converting the rear turn signals into running/brake lights
6.  Adding billet auxilliary lights up front.
and the couple of things you've already done:
7.  Passenger floorboards
8.  Tourpak and mounting hardware.

I'm sure there are others but that's what popped into my mind immediately.

Good luck and ride safe.

Good list from rbmntx.  I plan to do most of those, with the exception of the floorboards.  For $500, the pegs will do just fine.

Any other pics of your ride you can post?

I've made the big jump.  I've removed my front AND rear reflectors.  Cost me all of about 3 minutes.  [smiley=beerchug.gif]

I also removed the reflectors off of my saddlebags.  It took me 0 minutes.

The first time I opened the bags when I brought her home, they fell off.  Saved me the trouble.

Thanks for the chuckle! I'm visualizing you throwing down the kickstand in your driveway all proud & smiling, leaning it over and hearing "clink, clink!"  ;D ;D ;D ;D

I had a good laugh myself.   ;D ;D

Then I thought...hmm, how well is the rest of the bike put together. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  So far so good, nothing else has fallen off.  Of course I have had a guardian bell on it ever since, but that is a topic for a different thread.   ;)
