Jeff,

I'd guess the cylinders didn't show up from Axtell that far out of round.  I suspect they saw some heat from your first build.  At least that's what my experience with them would lead me to think...

That could very well be. The shop did check the cylinders before the 1st install. They were good then. Like I said, Ii have no heart ache with Axtell. I've had no cylinder/motor issues since they were installed some 30000 miles ago. Now for all the electrical / TBW issues...that's a different issue.  Lexi did not have to go to the shop at all this last riding season! She served me well all year. However she's in now for a freshing up.

What ya doing to her?

She was starting to spew oil thru the AC. Had the top end checked, no problems.

I have been talking with TR about the slight ticking the TR590s make. He has reground them on the same centerline as his 525/555/625/662 which are quieter. He made me a deal I could not refuse so I'm having switch the old style 590 for the new grind.

So with the season pretty much over, I decided to have the lower end checked to see if the oil spew was an oil pump issue. They found a cam tensioner issue. Hope to get some pics on that and will post on this soon.

Had Axtell 107 cylinders and wossner flat tops on one of my SE bikes.  bike was setup to be low compression 9.24 to 1 with S&S 570 cam.   made 121/107 std 119/105 sae.  Cranked 171 front and rear hot or cold there was no change in compression.   Stock CVO heads, Stock 43mm Throttlebody w/ 4.35 injectors, Rinehart True Duals.   If I were doing it again would recommend 10 to 1 compression and 88cc chambers and .030 head gasket.   If you are using the big boyz calculater remember to put these as 3.932cylinder bore.  Would definitely recommend this build to others another choice is to run it with the Andrews 54g or at 10.3 to 1 with CR 575 per Wes.

We've been using Axtell cylinder kits here, for about 20 years now.
They work for us.
