Adjustable highway pegs for '08 SERK
« on: July 25, 2008, 10:02:39 AM »

I want to put adjustable highway pegs on my '08 SERK, but I'm somewhat confused by the different options in the HD catalog.

Catalog lists: "long" or "short" angled, "long" or "short" offset, and 360's . . . . .

Given the fact I have the "mustache" engine guard, what would work best??

Any photos of what others have done would be very helpful.

Thanx

In my opinion I believe it depends on your inseam. I have a very long inseam and still found it difficult to reach the pegs. I purchased the short leg pegs and found that they work the best. I made sure to get the 360 degree turning; that way I can adjust the height as needed. The longer the peg the more they will stick out. Meaning a further stretch to reach the peg. If you have to scoot up to reach the pegs then they are to long.

I hope this helps and good luck. My picture has short high pegs in it.

I used the 360's. Switched the passenger footpegs for new Ironside floorboards for girlfriends comfort, moved the passenger pegs to the highway bar. Works great and keeps the theme together. The 360 gave me the most flexibility as I switch out the seat and probably the handlebars.
