Goodbye CVO Streetglide
« on: July 28, 2015, 07:15:51 PM »

I placed a comment in the topic "My CVO .... Pushed to May" about trading down to a non CVO Limited (MOCO has 0 down/0.99% for high tier on touring bikes/CVOs not eligible).

I grew increasingly frustrated with multiple stereo issues on my CVO,  such as multiple blown speakers, position of harnesses in saddle bags, and other small nuisances. I didn't have any paint issues, and 110 engine was nice---so 2 out of the 3 major selling points for me were good (2 out of 3 Ain't Bad). If I had paint issues, trading down would have been an easy decision. I sat on fence but tossed in the towel because I had concerns going forward w/multiple stereo issues since I was 12 months from warranty end----see other topic for details.

I hope others are still very happy---for me, I lost that loving feeling.

New bike may not be as pretty, but a lot of positives.

Im not so sure I'd consider the Ultra Limited a trade "down."  I just came back from a trip out west where I rented a Limited for a week.  Very nice bike, rode well at 80+ mph, no wind buffeting (the fairing vent really works...I initially thought it was just a gimmick), and the infotainment/GPS worked well. The limited may not have the "bling," but HD has had so many problems with the CVOs (paint, chrome, engine, etc) there's nothing wrong with choosing a bike without these issues.

What paint issues?
