From this past weekend. Ever wonder why S&S was able to develop that X-Wedge Engine. Just a little racing experience goes a long way! ::)

"S&S® Pro Stock Motorcycle Excitement in Dallas
LA CROSSE, WI (September 25, 2007) S&S Cycle announces that Peggy Llewellyn, on her S&S Pro Stock powered Rush Racing bike, scored her first NHRA win in Dallas, Texas.

Not only was this win important as a first for Llewellyn in the NHRA, it was necessary for her to  clinch the fourth and final seat in the Countdown to One. Llewellyn beat Andrew Hines in the final with her best run of the weekend, a 7.020 at 190.00 mph, cutting a .010 light. Friday and Saturday saw Peggy running consistently in the 7.040 range at about 188mph, so she really timed her best run of the weekend for maximum impact.

Chip Ellis on the G2/Drag Specialties/S&S Pro Stock powered bike made it another weekend in the record books by setting the low ET of the race at 6.976 and the best reaction time with a .001 light. Going into the last two races of the year, Ellis is third, just 76 points behind the leader.

Matt Smith, on the Torco Racing Fuels S&S Pro Stock powered bike had a best run this weekend of 6.996 at 188.81 mph. His performance this weekend has him second in the countdown, just 45 points away from first, going into the final races of the year.

As the field unfolded throughout the weekend, of the top 16 qualifying bikes, seven were S&S 160ci Pro Stock powered. That left just two Harley-Davidson® bikes and seven Suzukis to round out the group. For an engine in just it's third full year (2004 was just a partial season) of competition, the S&S 160-incher is clearly changing the face of NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle racing. Information about S&S Cycle and the S&S 160ci Pro Stock Engine can be found at www.sscycle.com .

“Congratulations to Peggy and the Rush Racing team on their first NHRA win, and getting into the Countdown to One.  We are very happy for their success as a new team this year. With Peggy making it in the Countdown to One, S&S now has three of the four motorcycles in the hunt for the Championship, it is going to be an exciting final two races in Pro Stock Motorcycle,” said S&S Racing Relations Manager Charlie Hadayia.

There are two chances left this year to experience the excitement of NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle Racing. They are, October 25-28, 2007 at the ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals and November 1-4, 2007 and at the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA finals in Pomona, California. Do everything you can to catch one of these races, especially now that three of the top four bikes chasing the championship are S&S powered!"

Wonder why I'll use an S&S motor if my 110 chits to bed one more time! ;)
