:worthless:

So I might as well share some....

THe club stickers have since been removed...(The previous owner rode with them)

I've cleaner her up a bit and did progressive monotubes, ultra touring with Super Heavy duty rears (given the sidecar) but only have the preload set at about 1/2... rides perfect with me, the wife and the dog...

I've still got some shiny stuff to replace but I was chasing oil leaks... the oil cooler adapter was loose and the hoses was a little questionable.

It's getting there...but its relegated to Daily rider duty whatever I do has to get done it a day!

The JM ROKKER stuff is gonna be fun next!

I've still never ridden a bike with a sidecar.  Still tend to think they are cool looking rigs.  This one even more than most.   :drink:

twolane,

Thanks for the kind words... I don't know if you saw the Ebay add I put up that greg moved to third party for sale (yellow 09)

It's more counterbalance than anything else... not being able to lean the bike into a turn is the most unusual sensation.

Right turnpike (onramps) for freeways are probably the hardest.

Reading several guides, a lot of people put ballast in them to help. I'm not a little guy so I don't add ballast, you just have to remember that there is a physical limitation to the speed at which you can enter a corner before it will try to toss you off...

Regardless of how much counterbalance you put over the car.

The onramp speed limit is about the limit.

Both the Hannigan and the Motorvation have Electronic Camber control, meaning you can raise and lower the car height slightly to counter the crown of the road, on ramps, etc to help make turns a little easier.. makes a HUGE difference. takes a little getting used to as its another gadget to mess with while you're riding. I noted the Motorvation hack even has independent brakes... talk about a bunch of stuff going on.

I'd love to try to ride the yellow one fully loaded, wife on the back, dog in the hack and a trailer full of gear just to see how it feels. must be one hell of an adventure.

The previous owner either loved it, or hated it.

I've put almost 4k on mine riding it daily since April until the stator died. (It sucks being on an island waiting for parts.) That tells you what I think about riding a hack despite its challenges...

I dont have to put my feet down in traffic and I can carry as much beer as I need for parties...! Costco trips are a breeze now!

That all ^^ in many ways mirrors what I've heard previously.  The only addendum is that a few I've known who rode much with a hack said it was just "work."  Wasn't easy riding.  With yours sounds like it's as much acclimation as anything else.

Someday....   Someday.  'cause I'd still much rather do that than a trike.

Its not "work" if its setup properly and tracks straight.

It was more work reading the instructions and trying to interpret what they meant.

Once I figured that out and got it set up right and got it to track straight it rides like a dream... the ECC helps the crowns in the road or counters wind, etc. I'm spoiled now. the biggest problem I have is that when I ride my '18 CVO RG or the wife's '11 RKC is I forget to put my feet down!    :huepfenlol2:

Oh geez, I will never forget the first time I got on someone else's trike.  They said, "don't put your feet down.  Remember Don, don't put your feet down."

First stop.  Feet down.  Started taking off and rear wheel caught the back of my left shoe.  Saw the shoe in the left mirror happily flopping down the road all on its own....

Yes I sold it in the last week of September, it took a while but I got what I wanted for it.  Sold it locally so it's kinda tough when I see it out  :(
