That bites (a little).  About $50 more total.  They were the least expensive place I'd found though.  Inflation should be very high on things I'll never want or use so that things I do want or use can go down in price....

It's still more than Eastern Performance. $669.95 with free shipping. Cheaper if non quiet baffle.

Wendy and I just got back from a ride down to Daytona to see some of the '09 touring bikes at Rossmeyers...

The new FLHX and RG are crazy nice...but when I turned to Wendy asking if we should take one home, she floored me with her comment..."let's get the Silver '09 CVO RG when it arrives...!!"...

We left Daytona and stopped by St.Augustine Harley to see my friend Bill...he's sold me my last 5 bikes and we talked a little 'bout the CVO RG...soooo..he's on the hunt and I'll trade him my '05 SEEG (funny it ran so good today...pulled hard, ran cool, and made me a believer in things get better with age!!) I'll miss that green beast..but hopefully I'll adjust to the RG and have another chapter in the CVO lineup..

I'm hoping it'll be here before the MV trip...but if not...I'll be there with the Jalapeno and a big smile..and of course Wendy too..!!

Funny how a new set of pipes for the Jala isn't a priority now..

Thanks guys...

BTW - Don, you'll need to provide me the secret of adjusting to an RG...

Don might not be the right one to ask he didn't adjust he kept both, and we know how he helps us all spend money. ;D

LOL....true dat.. :D

But then I ride short boards and long boards,,,mixing it up depending on the conditions and things...

Perhaps Don just looks at the weather and where's he's going, then flips a coin... ;)

I alternate.  That's kept either of them from getting pissed off.

Phattey

Hate to break the news to you but that SERG3 will need a pipe.
On a 110 I am going with the FatCat!
SEEG, SERG doesn't matter, they all need pipes!

Agreed, but now I have some time to plan. I hear Rinehart will probably beat most folks to the market on the '09's, but I'd rather wait...like you say Chip, on the FatCat for the SERG.

Phattey

I had a ProPipe on my SERG, replaced it with the FatCat.
Got better torque and H/P down low with the ProPipe but better horsepower and torque up high with the Fatcat.
Put the ProPipe back on the SERG.
The FatCat will go on the 09 SEUC4.

Will it fit on the 09 Chip :nixweiss:

The frame and motor placement is different on the 09 than the 08

Hope it works for you :2vrolijk_21:

Well......  As much as I like the FatCat that's an area where the new SERGs are going to limit choices.  Those extended saddlebags have exhaust pockets on each side.  Going to a 2-1 might or night not align the pipe and muffler to go through the existing pocket in the saddlebag on the right side.  But it surely will leave that left side unoccupied and funny looking.

The FatCats offer the "Ghost Pipe" to mount as a faux left side exhast.  But no one yet knows if it would fit with the saddlebag either.

I suppose the Fatcat in it's current config may not be an option...but perhaps D&D is making something special...either a new variant of the 2 into 1, or...

Just have to wait and see...

Going through the old posts and bring back some topics that are relevant to me and my 'new to me' '04 SEEG.

Back in '05-'06 I rode a mostly stock 88 inch Ultra.  Mine had a stage 1 breather (no download), a D&D Fatcat with quiet baffle, and a Power Commander with a map from another bike that had been dyno tuned with a nearly identical setup.  Mine ran extremely well, and had a great sound.  The chrome never blued at all and the chrome finish was perfect.

Two buddies had similar baggers with V&H Propipes.  Both pipes browned badly and they have a more "tinny" sound, to my ear anyway.  Very little performance difference from the fatcat on my bike, but either 2:1 pipe was an improvement over stock with slipons.
