I can finally report on the 440's!  I went w/ the 12.5 HD [4019C] and started w/ 2 full turns.  I'm 6'2" 200lb and usually ride solo.  First,  the extra 1/2 in in length only raised the bike 3/16" measured from lift bed to top shock bolt.  Second.........these shocks have far exceeded my expections!!!   They should be considered as a mandatory upgrade.  I rode 490 miles over the last 2 days on some of the best and worst roads NH and VT has to offer and the 440's are sweet!!!!!!!!!   I never played w/ the 440's and at 2 turns they will stay untill I put the wife on the back and see?

Ty all for all the good and accurate info. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Would some knowledge soul please start a new thread on what they did to improve the front suspension??   Oil, springs and the cartridge in the left fork??   [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Ride safe all...........

Agree that the 12.0's rock...keeps the stock height and the ride is great.

A few years ago I put the lowered PS shocks on my FLHS, and then installed white bros progressively wound springs up front.  I removed all the air suspension shi* and installed plugs to seal the forks. Worked great...

Oh the front end I have never seen a clear statement on tuning it, I'm at the point to send a set of forks to these people.

Jim....The best match for the 440's are the Progressive Fork Springs #11-1528.  Don't recall what I paid for them at the moment, but you'll notice as much improvement in the front as the 440's give to the back end.

Yes.  You have to use the shouldered spacers in order to get the proper offset and not have the rubber bushings riding on the frame/swingarm.

I used 4 shouldered sleeves on the shocks with the shoulder in towards the bike. When I put the shock on the top bolt on the right side the bottom was away from the swingarm 1/2 " exactly the width of sleeve #4. On the left side the shock was pushing on the swingarm and with a spacer on top it was perfect. In both cases I could have forced them over easily but with the spacers they are more square.
