Roger.  I had to replace the stock seat on my Nanner.  It was by far the worst motorcycle seat I have ever sat on.  Guys who have the 2004 and the 2005 say the seat on the 2004 is way better.  Go figure.  I bought the Harley Sundowner plain for a Road King and it looks pretty good.  It will get the true test on the way to Sedona but it's got to be better than he stock one.

Cheers, Moe

The stock one just keeps me too far forward for my legs to make the angle with and comfort.  The rebuilt SEUC seat gets me lower and farther back.

It is much more comfortable, good luck with the Sundowner and with the ride down.

The best (by a mile) stock seat Harley-Davidson ever made is the one that came on the 2003 Screamin Eagle Road King. It is very comfortable. I don't know the part number, but if you can score one of these seats either new or used, you're golden AND, they fit the 04 and 05 SEEGs perfectly.

Agreed.  I've got three other seats for mine, and none are as comfortable as the stock one.  It fits my arse perfectly, better than a Corbin...better than a Mustang...

BB,

I know that this will pain you dearly...but yes, the stock one is more comfortable for me than the crocstrich seat from Alligator Bob.  Not better looking mind you, but more comfortable.  Something about that gel that just doesn't quite sit right for me on the long hauls...so I don't usually use it on the long hauls.

I got a cancellation at www.richscustomseats.com and I'll be there most of tomorrow reshaping the SEEG seat.

Installing the Clearview tonight and getting set up for Sedona.

Rog,
Agree with BB.  :2vrolijk_21:I bought and sold a Corbin...just didn't like the feeling of sitting on a rock all day. Have Mustang that's great with a BSR involved, but really love the stock SERK. I sold an extra one to Beags, and believe he's riding in on his SEEG. HD Part Number is 51293-03 and they were like $499. You can try out some SERK seats at Sedona, for a  :drink:  :bananarock:

I had the Mustang on the 03 Pseudo SE Road Glide and now have a new one on the 04 SEEG.

Have found it great even after 700 mile days.

Rich has a SERK and added a Dragon Fly fourth generation fairing this year.  Really nice quality and local painter did the matching
