You can have Intercom
« on: June 01, 2004, 10:29:04 PM »

I have pretty much finished installing an intercom system on my SEEG and thought I would share the results.  I have tried just about every communication & audio management system made at one time or another.  In my opinion the only 2 products that are even worth looking at are the products from Autocom and Baehr.  The rest including the H/D system on the Ultra, (again in my opinion only), are garbage.  Unfortunately both the mentioned products are expensive especially when you pick the top level of their offerings.  I found the Autocom Pro M1 to be very effective with closed faced helmets but not as good as the Baehr Ultima with open faced helmets so I ended up using the Baehr on the SEEG.

The Baehr has 4 audio & 1 radio (bike to bike) inputs in addition to the rider & passenger intercom.  I have a Cell Phone, GPS, MP3 Player, Radar Detector, and the H/D stock radio connected to the inputs.  I don

Thanks for the great info :)  Can give me more info in regards to the relays you used to switch the fairing speakers on / off?  Maybe a wiring diagram for the switch and relays too?

I will make up a wiring diagram for the speaker switch & the relays and post it.  It will be the end of the week or early next week before I can post, as I will be out of the country on business this week.
