Almost, but this problem existed on the SERKs as well.

OK, but this is the Electra Glide section of the board.  Last I checked, SERK owners are free to start their own polls. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Mike, I don't have the ability to move threads so you'll have to take it up with one of the mods, but like I said, this particular thread and poll was started in June of last year when peeling chrome was a point of daily discussion on the SEEGs.

Took delivery end of October 2003.  Have replaced both wheels, one mirror, all four floorboards.  No problem from the dealer and it wasn't even the selling dealer that did the work.  Great machine otherwise. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

JC, I'm not too sure how to go about modifying this poll.

I have an '05 delivered in Oct. of '04.  It has had both the passenger and driver floor boards replaced as well as the billet end caps for the mufflers.

Just got back from the dealer.  All four floorboards and the top transmission cover are on order to replace the chipping/peeling/bubbling originals.  That's the bad news.  The good news is, there was no question whatsoever on the dealer's part that this would be taken care of.  I was in and out of there in about 10 mins.

Funny thing was the parts manager said, "There's a website for these things and just about every guy on there has had to replace wheels and floorboards."  I just said, "Yeah, I've heard about that site." [smiley=laugh.gif]

Brian get rid of that damn trailer picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is not the "trailer picture."  Silly boy.  That is the "Maggie Valley I'll Be There Before You Brian Is a Weiner" picture.  Remember, that was all sorted out before we left  [smiley=7.gif] [smiley=beerchug.gif]

Yeah, but as much smack as JC keeps talking about the trailers, I just figured he wanted to see the photo of mine in every post. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

You only mentioned the muff's a couple times, so that photos is down, but JC just can't quit bringing up the trailers, so who knows how long this will be up?

I got an '05 SEEG that I picked up in early March...   No peeling chrome yet, but I am having trouble with the rear tire....   seems to be wearing out awfully fast  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]and the wife says the tire stinks when I leave the driveway...    [smiley=oops.gif]
Maybe when I replace the tire next month the new tire will stick to the concrete better and not smoke so much... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Front wheel twice, rear wheel once, derby cover, hand grips, front support brackets drivers floorboards (both sides).  Wheel problems solved this week as they are being replaced with mirror chrome Thunderstar's.  All the Detonator wheels came from the same subcontractor, so no use in replacing junk with junk.
