OK, so that there is no mistake, I AM A CHEAP BASTAGE. I also hate going in to the cycle shop for a replacement part that should be stocked because it is a wear item, only to be told "Yeah, we're gonna have to order that for ya" So in regards to the removable tour pak bushings, when these front bushings get worn, the tour pak rocks back and forth slightly, not a huge amount, but it bugs me that it isn't nice and snug. After stopping in at the dealership close to home in Canada, and again at Petersons in South Miami, and neither having stock replacements I have come up with a fairly elegant solution. There is a product that you can dip the handles of your tools in that coats them with a plastic, much like the stock coating that you find on pliers etc. If you paint this product into the groove on your slightly worn factory mounting grommet, it takes up just enough space to snug the fitment up to near perfect spec, and if not, give it another coating, let dry overnight and try your tour pak on in the morning. Nice and snug!!
