To the head porters, are the 110 heads a good platform?
« on: January 08, 2013, 06:32:07 PM »

I am curious if the 110 heads are a good starting platform, or would a stock casting or something else be a better choice? I read somewhere that the exhaust port is maybe to big in the 110 heads. Sort of planning my future here, so I am looking for input from the experts.

You can scale them any way you please and they will grow into a much larger motor if that is desired.
They work well all around.

we`ve had good luck with them, wouldnt use them on a mild 95" build, but great for hot rod builds as long as their set up properley for your build (not just a bolt on thing)

Takes very little work to make them into a first rate head, exhaust port being to large is not one of the actual problems

Robin Theme, head service tech,(and tuner) @ Gails H-D, Grandview, Mo, used a set of our 110" heads on his 107"er, with a Wood 8.
Ran off at 125 hp, as I recall.......
Dyno report is on HTT.
Those cylinder heads work well, once attended to.
